The 640 Adventure has a very tall theoretical seat height, at 945mm even taller than the 930mm (?) of the 950 Adventure S which gets a lot of bad press. BUT the 640 has a narrow seat at the front, reducing the length of leg required to reach the ground. Rather than put the effort into the 990’s shorter legs, we opted to swap both the forks and rear shock from the 950 S to bring our project bike a bit closer to its original rally heritage. 31" inseam here and as long as you ride like you should (feet on the pegs) the bike is great. When you stop all you need is one foot on the ground anyway. My buddy has a 29" inseam and is blazing fast on a 950SE. I'm actually looking into a taller seat so the transition from sitting to standing is easier. 06 950 adv.

I liked it much better than the KTM gel low seat which I used for commuting to save the Renazco. Eventually I found a tall Renazco on the FM and sold the lower one. I'm 6'2" the tall one gives me a better riding position. Sold the 990 and bought a 950 with a tall Renazco seat, this time vinyl.

A KTM 950 Super Enduro to be precise. What the Super Enduro is, is easier to see than to describe. It's part super-sized enduro racer, part downsized super-trailie. The engine is that of the 950 Adventure, the carburetted predecessor of the 990 Adventure. And the chassis is also similar, but not identical, to the Adventure.
The firm foam prevents sinking into the seat and keeps softer groin tissue up and away from the seat and impacts/vibration.
