There is no way to do what you're describing. That was implemented in Odyssey and Valhalla but not in Origins. If you're playing on PC you can however copy saves prior to what you want to do, essentially making a save state. Other than that I'm not aware of any other way to "save" in the way you're describing. I feared that. Well, screw me ig.

You can unlock this ability right from the beginning and purchase it for only 1 ability point. From now on you can hold the map button - Bayek starts to meditate and the game speeds up time. After 1 or 2 uses it will be night. You can now sneak to your destination easier.
Origins (It’s technically Assassin’s Creed 5) was better than Odyssey (AC 6). Imo worse than Valhalla (AC 7). And can never stand up to or even come close to the beautiful brilliance that is Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. Origins was the start of the lack of soul in AC games. Origins started to lose the way.

The save files can be found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegame\\4923, not in the Documents folder. This game is great, but launching it is always a hassle. Steam launches the Ubisoft client, which should then launch the game, but it almost never does it automatically. It gets hung up complaining about various things that are not important at all and usually takes 5 or 10 min of messing around to get it started each time.
